EEG

We talked with Henna's neurologist yesterday and she said the results of Henna's EEG looked better than her previous one. That's good news! Henna did have 3 grand mal seizures last week. Her first ones since her surgery on August 6th. Fortunately each one only lasted about 3 minutes.
Today is election day so we voted and have been hanging around the house. I hope everyone voted.
It looks like we will be going to due process concerning Snoball and the county not allowing her aide to hold her leash. They have been hard to work with and will not communicate their reasons for not allowing the handling of Sno. All they say is that they don't want to set a precedence for other service dogs. Thank God for Henna's attorney and that she feels this case is important enough to take on. There are so many families in the same boat as we are that have no help. I hear from them daily. Until then I'll continue going to school and handling Sno.
We have decided to hold off on additional academic testing on Henna until her brain heals more. We see more dyslexia type activity and she gets frustrated easily. Henna wrote her name on the board perfectly from right to left. She did it faster then she does when she writes her name correctly from left to right. Very interesting.
Henna has been preparing to sing a solo for Chorus for a grade. She will sing "Let Joy Awaken". She has been listening to the song on her ipad and our neighbor has been playing the piano while she sings. Henna doesn't pronounce her words clearly so we've been working on that. Her Chorus teacher is fantastic!
Our German Shepherd, 12 years old, hasn't eaten for going on 3 days. I have a call into the vet. He's been declining. He's been such a loyal friend.
Sending blessings your way.
Jan
