Getting closer...

Dr. Yaun said that if Henna does well with PT today she may be able to go home tomorrow! She has to get up and move around on her own.
Henna is now taking her Lamictal which is the one medication that really helps her. They couldn't give it to her before because she couldn't swallow it and they didn't have it intravenously.
Henna is back to her witty self. She is acting silly and she thinks she's funny. She's getting a little sassy with me which in most cases isn't a good thing but to me it's wonderful. That means my spirited girl is back.
Some strange things have happened since we've been in the hospital. One day a nurse told me she knew me but didn't know from where. She then yelled out, "CJ Soto". It was my daughter's best friend from middle school. Then a lady asked if I could take Sno in to see her son because he missed his dog. When I went in the room I was face to face with one of my neighbors. She lives on our street! Then a man asked about Sno while we were riding on an elevator. I told him I'd drop off the 4 Paws for Ability website. After talking with him and his wife I find out they live in Woodbridge close to us. It's a very small world.
I will be SO happy to get Henna home! I'm ready to get her back to what she knows.
Sno will probably go crazy chasing the cats and with freedom to run. She deserves some time to be a pup. I can't tell you what a great job she's done. She even alerted to a little girl's seizure when I was talking with her parents. As she matures we're going to see wonderful things from Sno.
I want to thank you all again for all of your prayers and support through this. We see how fragile life is and how much family and friends really help through difficult times. We appreciate all of you!
Hopefully I will be writing my next post at home!
Have a blessed day.
Jan
