I made tacos the Mexican way Chris's grama used to make them. You pad ground beef in a semi circle on a corn tortilla, sprinkle garlic pepper on them, and fry them in oil. We made 200 of them and they will probably be gone in 3 days.
I make a mean Spanish rice that turned out great!
Here is the girl's masterpiece. Henna said she's going to make me one next year. She then asked me to make her one for her 14th b'day.
This is off the subject but this was the sweetest b'day present of all...you're all thinking Chris got this for his b'day, right? NOT! He finally brought it home from the parking lot we had been paying a hefty monthly fee to park it in. When he was in Japan the boys and I cleaned out the garage to make room for it. I had been asking Chris for 5+ years to clean out the garage and bring the car home to save money. I guess my patience ran out after all those years. LOL. Anyway, it's home and resting nicely in the garage.
Still waiting patiently for Jeremy to identify a new dog for Henna. I know they want to pick just the right one for her so we'll have to be patient. Once we get a class date I can schedule everything around it. I doubt Henna will have a dog before school in the fall.
Leo has become very fond of me. He's a great boy!
Have a safe Memorial Day and please remember all of those men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Freedom is not free!
