Today was a fun day. Chris showed up late because he went and did our laundry. Bless his heart. We went over transitioning our dog once we got back to our home. We practiced our basic obedience. Tomorrow is our public access test then we have graduation afterward. Hopefully we'll all pass! We will take our test at the mall. Leo better be on his game!
Henna always hangs on the floor with Leo.
Here is Cassidy retrieving and placing the object on Alyssa's chair.
Henna was intrigued with Samantha's "fat" tummy. Henna got to feel the baby move. She sent me away when I joined their conversation. Henna is starting to feel more grown up and wants to have her own friends. Even if they started out as my friend she feels they should only be hers. Go figure!? :)
We had our "Howl"oween party after training. There was pizza for everyone. Susan brought a cute cake, Jamie brought decorated cookies, and Henna gave out candy bags. The kids and some of the parents dressed up and even some of the dogs. Leo did NOT like his Diego costume but kept it on long enough for me to get a picture.
We bathed all the dogs and Leo was not a happy camper! Henna helped for a few minutes then said, "I'm out of here".
Jessa shaved Leo's beard so he wouldn't drip as much after drinking. His hair is so soft and he dried faster than the other dogs. All the dogs acted like puppies after their baths.
It was nice to socialize with the other parents and Karen came so I got to chat with her more. We have a lot in common. By the time we got back to the hotel Leo wanted to eat and Henna was ready for meds and a movie. All I wanted was a cup of java.
Keep me in your prayers for my testing tomorrow. Jeremy said we were all doing well but I don't like tests of any kind.
4 Paws staff is one of the most dedicated group of people I have ever met. They truly believe in what they are doing and want to help better the lives of these special children. It is a calling and one few do. Thank you Jeremy, Jen, Jessa, Trish, and Christie for your gift to Henna and our family. We feel privileged to part of the 4 Paws family! Jan
Dear Jan - will certainly be sending good thoughts your way for the "testing". I'm sure you and Leo will do just fine.
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled to see Karen in your photos. 4Paw was a lot smaller when we picked up Chester. I'd love to take a trip out to see it now.
My - these 10 days have flown by (at least for us readers).
I'm sure you made friends for life with your group.
Happy Graduation !!!
